The Heron Group of Companies is organized into a management structure that ensures that our core values, years of experience, insight and corporate philosophy filter down into each division. Overlooking all business sectors is an ownership and executive team who have allowed the communication necessary to build for the success of Heron. Partners and team players from its divisions are also represented at each core business executive panel. The result is that while The Heron Group of Companies encompasses a diversified portfolio of business sectors, we employ a consistent approach to operations and strategic decision-making.

Elliot Krangle - Principal, C.E.O.,
Chairman of The Heron Group of Companies

For decades, Elliot Krangle has provided leadership and direction in the core industries , through times that demanded important strategic decisions and creative solutions. At the helm of The Heron Group of Companies for 30 years, he is the builder of the corporation's philosophical foundations - its core set of values, proactive investment strategy and commitment to longevity and growth.

Hugh Heron - Principal,
President of Heathwood Homes and Heron Homes

Within the Canadian housing sector, Hugh Heron stands at a vantage point enjoyed by few others, that allows him a broad view of the industry's landscape of issues, challenges and opportunities. For over 30 years, he has served in leadership positions at some of the industry's most important institutions: former chair of the Ontario New Home Warranty Program, past president of both the Greater Toronto and Ontario Home Builders' Associations and a board member of CMHC ( Canada Mortgage & Housing). Mr. Heron brings a deep understanding of, and appreciation for, the principles and vision that guide The Heron Group of Companies' ongoing success.

Sheldon Alspector - Principal
CEO Housing of The Heron Group of Companies

With 30 years of experience, Sheldon Alspector is directly responsible for the operations of the Heron Group's Residential Housing Division. Sheldon has a clear appreciation of these issues from several standpoints - not only from the perspective of privately-held entities, but also from the concerns of watchdog organizations. He has been a director of The Toronto Labour Bureau since its inception more than 20 years ago and a founder of RESCON, an organization that works with builders to establish optimum practices of safety, quality, leadership and competition within the Canadian housing market.

Grant Simpson - Principal
COO of The Heron Group of Companies

To be involved in the business, a close attention to detail, both structural and financial, is a top requirement. Grant Simpson, whose education in engineering and business (MBA) speaks to his wide range of interests and skills, brings an integrated understanding to the Heron Group projects, guiding them, step by step, detail by detail, from initiation to completion.

Bob Finnigan - Principal
COO Housing of The Heron Group of Companies

Before joining The Heron Group, Bob Finnigan worked in the real estate departments of several large corporations, which enables him to approach projects with the "big picture" in mind. His educational background in geography provides a solid basis from which to consider the broader environmental impact of building. He has also worked extensively with community groups, which gives him a unique perspective on demographics. Mr. Finnigan serves as the 2007 President of the Greater Toronto Home Builders' Association.

Silvio Longo - Principal
COO of Construction of Heathwood Homes and Heron Homes

Silvio Longo comes to The Heron Group with a diverse background that includes an expertise in mathematics, physics and chemistry, as well as specialized training in health, safety and regulation issues. His strengths include a talent for working effectively with people at many levels of involvement. Active in several safety initiatives and associations, he was co-chairman of the Low Rise Residential Labour - Management Health and Safety Committee. His attention to detail and sensitivity to the consumer ensure a well built product from bottom up.

Brad Foster - Principal
Chief Financial Officer of The Heron Group of Companies

Brad joined The Heron Group in 1999 and was appointed the Group's CFO in July 2005. Brad is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Public Accountant and is responsible for the group's consolidated financial reporting, corporate financing and taxation. Brad previously held senior roles in the licensing and underwriting department of the Ontario New Home Warranty Program and a medium sized public accounting firm located in the Niagara region.

Rick Coffin - President
Herity Group

Rick Coffin brings an integrated approach to his responsibilities in land acquisition and project development for this Florida-based company. A licensed Real Estate Broker and a graduate General Contractor, Rick's diverse background includes extensive experience in marketing and sales. Through his strong commitment to community service, he has become an industry expert in the administration of Home Owner Associations and their organizations. This diversity of knowledge and skills makes Rick a valued member of the Heron team.

John Prittie - President & CEO
Heron Capital Corporation

John Prittie has been President, CEO and a shareholder with Heron Capital Corporation since July 1997. Heron Capital Corporation is a franchise development and management company and is affiliated with the Heron Group of companies. Heron Capital's recent acquisitions include the Canadian Master Franchise for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® and PROSHRED® International.

John is a seasoned franchise executive with significant experience in business-to-business and service related operations. He has established more than 500 franchises domestically and internationally and is active in both the Canadian and International franchise associations. John was formerly the President of Mini-Tankers USA, Inc. and is also a former board member with Mini-Tankers Canada and the Canadian Franchise Association. John earned his Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Windsor and holds both B.Comm. and B.A. designations.

Tasso Eracles - President
Simerra Property Management Inc.

Tasso has over twenty years in the Property Management field at a senior /ownership level and this has allowed him to work with international business consulting firms, and providing services to Fortune 500 clients.

Over the past 10 years Tasso has been managing over 160 condominium corporations in the G.T.A. on behalf of Simerra Property Management. He has expertise in providing consulting services to many condominium developers throughout Ontario and in the preparation of condominium operating budgets.

As a speaker at national conferences and an instructor and lecturer for property management course in the GTA, Tasso brings hand-on experience to each project. Tasso holds two degrees from Queen's University.

Paul Fox - General Legal Council

For over 20 years, Paul has provided strategic legal council for the Heron Group of Companies and has a reputation second to none among his peers. As a former partner in a major law firm, Paul brings a wealth of experience and leadership in many areas of the law and allows him to provide clear and accurate direction to the group.

Jeffrey Hasham - Vice President of Finance
Heron Capital Corporation

Jeffrey is a seasoned finance executive, specializing in corporate expansion and turnarounds. Jeff's career includes experience in the retail and consumer products assurance practice, engagements for many of Canada's most recognized retailer's , leading financial restructuring and financial management. Jeff oversees the finances for Heron Capital Corporation's investment in Pro-Shred and Two Men and a Truck.

Tim Tibbs - Executive Vice President
Heron Capital Corporation

For the past six years Tim has been responsible for operations of the current two franchise concepts, Proshred, in the secure document destruction industry and Two Men and a Truck, in the local residential and commercial moving industry. Tim brings his over 20 years experience in franchising to the business. Tim has held key senior sales and marketing management roles in both franchising and distributor environments for companies across North America. Tim has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfred Laurier University.

Rene Grawey - Vice President of Sales

Rene is an important part of the management executive , leading the sales teams for all Heathwood Homes and Heron Homes projects. Holding both the Ontario Real Estate and Brokers licence, Rene's professionalism is a key part to our sales success and reputation

Cal Parsons, C.A. - President of Polymathic
Heron Group of Companies

Since 1990, Cal has championed development of management and information systems for the Heron Group of Companies. As a former partner in a large public accounting firm, Cal has extensive experience as a consultant to small and medium size businesses with a specialization in the design and development of computer applications software.

Cal is a former partner in a public accounting firm that founded Polymathic. He has brought to the development of each Polymathic software package, unique insights based on his experience as a business consultant, chartered accountant and systems development professional.
